Twin Falls, Idaho-based Edgewater Broadcasting, which entered into an agreement in May to sell its Ft. Branch translator station (W254BO-98.7 FM) to Evansville's BLS Entertainment, has been granted FCC approval to proceed with moving the station's city of license to Darmstadt, along with a move one tick down the dial to 98.5 FM.
The newly-rechristened W253BF will simulcast the programming of BLS' WEOA-1400 The Pump, which, in addition to its urban programming lineup, also serves as the flagship station of the Evansville IceMen and an affiliate of the Indiana University sports radio network.
No word on when the move will be completed, but it is believed to be soon.
