TUESDAY TIME MACHINE: WTVW's Randy Moore explains the '95 affiliation switch

In May 1995, Petracom's acquisition of WTVW precipitated a three-way network affiliation switch here in the Evansville TV market affecting not only WTVW, but also WEHT and WEVV.

In the clip below (from YouTube user TexasTV), Randy Moore explains the reason behind the switch and how it would play out.

The switch was completed in early December 1995 and, as Moore predicted, WEVV did end up going with CBS.  And, as you know, Fox ended up back there as well not quite two years ago. WTVW, after being independent for 18 months, became Evansville's CW affiliate at the end of January.
