UPDATED & CORRECTED: Owensboro native Paul Emmick leaving Louisville's WDRB

WDRB pho
UPDATE, 6:10 PM:  I have been informed by a reader that my earlier report, which stated that Paul Emmick is moving to South Bend's WBND, were incorrect.  It appears this is not the case, although my understanding is that he is indeed leaving WDRB.  I humbly apologize for the error.

Owensboro native Paul Emmick, the evening meteorologist at Louisville's WDRB-Fox 41, is leaving.

The station has hired a new morning meteorologist, Jude Redfield (formerly of Indianapolis NBC affiliate WTHR), and with his entrance, Marc Weinberg (the current Fox 41 morning weatherman) will move to the evening spot that Emmick now holds.

Prior to his years at WDRB, Emmick worked for NEWS 25 here in the Tri-State, as well as The Weather Channel and Indianapolis ABC affiliate WRTV.

By the way, the changes at WDRB were foreshadowed in January by Jake Payne of TheVilleVoice.com, who pretty much nailed this one ... even if it did take a few months.

WDRB is viewed in portions of the Tri-State, including Owensboro and points east, via cable, satellite and/or over-the-air.

I like having Paul here at WSBT in South Bend. Your latter report was correct; the station was incorrect. He's got a "voice for broadcasting" and is very informative when he tells us about weather conditions. Thanx for coming to SBN, Paul!
